Classification by Control Method
Standard Contactor Type: Uses conventional low-voltage components like contactors and relays for control; features a simple structure and low cost, making it suitable for applications with modest control precision requirements.
PLC Type: Utilizes a PLC as the core controller, with power circuits switched via contactors, soft starters, or variable frequency drives (VFDs); offers flexible logic and high scalability, representing the current mainstream solution.
PLC with Touchscreen Type: Adds a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to the PLC setup, allowing for intuitive configuration of operating, standby, and stop states for each cooling unit, resulting in a more user-friendly experience.
Modular Type (MIC6000): Each cooling unit is designed as an independent, hot-swappable module with dual power feeds routed directly to each; maintenance is simplified, as a faulty unit can be resolved by simply replacing the module.
Soft Starter Type: Replaces contactors with soft starters for load switching; ensures smooth, shock-free starting and includes built-in protections (e.g., short-circuit, overload); represents a modernized upgrade.
Variable Frequency Type: Automatically adjusts fan speed based on oil temperature or load current (fixed frequency/variable frequency/analog control); incorporates soft start/stop capabilities and offers significant energy savings, representing a newer solution.
Classification by Installation Method
Floor-mounted installation: The cabinet is installed on a concrete pad next to the transformer, with cables routed through underground trenches; suitable for outdoor use or locations with ample space.
Wall-mounted installation: The unit is mounted directly onto the transformer body, with cables connected via flexible metal conduits; this saves space and is suitable for locations with limited room.
