This winding hot spot temperature controller is assembled with elastic elements, bellows, capillary tubes, sensing parts, heating units, transmitters, current converters and digital display modules. Its sensing component mounts inside the top-layer oil hole of transformer tank. Under no-load status, the reading reflects actual transformer oil temperature. Once the transformer carries load, current proportional to load will pass through the built-in heating element inside bellows after converter adjustment. Generated heat will drive extra displacement of elastic elements.
For this winding hot spot temperature controller, total displacement comes from top-layer oil temperature plus heat generated by load-driven heating parts. The displayed value equals top-oil temperature plus winding-to-oil temperature rise, so it realizes indirect measurement for transformer winding hottest-spot temperature for on-site power equipment monitoring.
